JAMMU, OCTOBER 23: An estimated 2.76 lakh pilgrims visited holy cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi ji during pious nine days Navratras this year, which concluded last night, the pilgrimage being about 32,000 more than the corresponding period last year.
Official sources said 2,76,286 pilgrims offered prayers to Goddess Vaishno Devi ji inside holy cave shrine, located between the Trikuta Hills, during just concluded Navratras, the nine pious days devoted to the Goddess.
During corresponding Navratras last year, 2,43,920 yatris had visited the cave shrine. This year, the pilgrimage has recorded an increase of 32,366 during the Navratras.
The increase in pilgrimage was significant as overall yatra had declined this year as compared to last year.
