Sometimes you may wonder why God doesn't answer your prayers? Or to be more precise sometimes we doubt that God hears us at all; we wonder whether he really cares. The problem is not that God doesn't hear or care; it may be that we do not understand how he actually answers the prayers. Sometimes we ask for the right thing but for the wrong reasons. This could be the reason our prayers are not answered. Our motives in praying are very important. If we pray with a selfish or greedy heart we should not expect God to answer our prayers. We can't expect God to answer our prayers when we have already made up our mind to go our own way and do our own thing. He loves to answer our prayers when we come in true humility. If we want to receive the blessing of God we must humble ourselves. We must earnestly seek Him and turn from evil tendencies.Doubt hinders our prayers. We may have serious doubts about God’s ability or willingness. God may be waiting for us to pray in real faith, or to see if we are serious enough to continue to pray for it. We need to be sincere and willing to obey Him. We must commit ourselves wholeheartedly and unreservedly to God. And sometimes our timing may be wrong. God may indeed answer our requests in the exact manner we have submitted them to Him, but the answers may not come according to our schedule. God may even use delayed prayer to teach us patience. Nothing teaches patience like waiting. And sometimes Our Prayers May Have Been Answered In A Way We Were Not Expecting or We Did Not Recognise. He sees the big picture, we only see a small portion of that picture. We could actually be praying for something that would be harmful for us to get. It should be seen as encouraging when God does not answer our prayers exactly as we want, in the time frame we expect. This shows us that He is still in control and sovereignly overrides our expectations with His perfect will!!!
