Shiva says “All who seek me by whatever means shall reach me”, “All must reach me.”

12 Jyotirlingas Of Lord Shiva's photo.

Shiva says “All who seek me by whatever means shall reach me”, “All must reach me.” Pratyahara is a gathering toward, an attempt to get hold of the mind and focus it on the desired object. Therefore the first step is to get hold of your mind, watch it, keep a check on it, see what it is thinking and be only its witness. Remember mind is not soul or spirit. It is only matter in a finer form and once we learn to manipulate it through our nerve energies we can direct it anywhere we want.
The body is the objective view of the subjective that is the mind. We the Self are beyond both the body and mind. We are the Atman the eternal the ever-changing. We are the unchangeable witness. Its said the Atman knows everything, its past present and future. The Atman has witnessed many births and once it gets out of the body cage it realizes its freedom but again takes a form according to the sanskaras of its previous actions. Yet in its original form its pure and free.
The body is crystallized thought. When a person reaches a stage where he learns to separate himself from the mind and see himself something away from the thought then he reaches the superconscious stage. Do not let the thoughts grasp you, stand aside and they will die away. You are your own conqueror. Seek yourself to find yourself. You are thee the holy one.
