Maharaj Charan Singh ji, Radha Soami Satsang ,Beas.
Many years ago, i was visiting an art exhibition in my town, Jammu.
It was the last hour of the last date, and most of the stalls were already empty, the artists had already packed up and called it a day.
And yet, there was on little stall, where two or three men were having a hasty cup of tea, even as their apprentice helpers were rolling up the unsold canvases.
And my eyes set on this magnetic painting of Maharaj Charan Singh, the master of the Radha Soami satsang.
I kept staring at the picture, glued as i was, by a magnetic spiritual current.
'You like this, do you?" finally asked the chief artist .
"yes, yes, its beautiful' i managed to speak.'who is it by?"
"it is an unknown artist, who did not sign" he said, "because the person who asked for this painting, never showed up, and now it seems being the last hour, no one is going to claim it'
'oh, so what will happen now?' i asked
'well, you seem to really like it, so...you can have it"
i could not believe my ears. i hurriedly paid some amount that was agreed and huddled Babaji next to my heart, as i rushed excitedly for my car.
And that is how, Babaji came to adorn our home:
its true, we don't choose a picture, or painting, it chooses us! and masters have a truly mystical way to enter your home and heart.
This painting has been with us for about thirty years, and now i want to gift it to the present Master, so that thousands more can have the happiness of 'seeing' Maharaj Charan Singh ji. -Shail Gulhati
