The first Solar Eclipse of 2016 would occur on March, 09. It would be total Solar Eclipse of magnitude 1.045 which means that at the moment of greatest eclipse, the Sun would be completely hidden by the shadow of the moon. The longest duration of totality would be 4 minutes and 9 seconds.
The total Solar Eclipse would be observed from Pacific Ocean. Palembang, Palu, Palangkaraya and Ternate are few Indonesian cities to observe total Solar Eclipse. The partial Solar Eclipse would be visible from#Australia, #India, #China, #South Korea and #Japan.
In India, the partial Solar Eclipse would be visible from most of the cities except some cities in western and northern India where none of the eclipse would be visible. New Delhi,Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai,Kolkata, Guwahati, Nagpur,Bhubaneshwar, Noida, Gurgaon,Lucknow, Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain,Gwalior, Kochi, Coimbatore andVaranasi would observe partial Solar Eclipse. However, none of the eclipse would be visible from Mumbai, Pune,Vadodara, Surat, Ahmedabad, Jaipur,Ludhiana, Amritsar, Udaipur,Chandigarh and Panaji.
Outside India, Kathmandu, Dhaka,Colombo, Colombo, Bangkok,Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta,Honolulu and Darwin are some of the big cities where partial Solar Eclipse would be visible.
The eclipse would not be visible in North America, South America, Europe, Africa and some northern and western countries of Asia. From Pakistan, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Afghanistan and Kazakhstanwhere none of the eclipse would be visible.

8) Pregnant women are the ones who are believed to be more delicate towards the ill-effects of Grahan. Let's take a look at the precautions that are to be taken by the pregnant women to ensure their safety and the safety of their future offspring(s).They should not view the sky during solar eclipse or Surya Grahan. They are advised to stay indoors and not peep out of their houses. They should not wear or tighten saree clips or hair clips. They are suggested to be awaken during Chandra Grahan. They should not cut vegetables or involve in any kind of peelings, as such kind of actions can lead to a similar impact on their yet to be born child.
