If you want to meditate, you do not fight with your mind, you work with it.

Lord Shiva's photo.

Contrary to what all gurus and beliefs have been saying.
Your mind is not the enemy.
If you want to meditate, you do not fight with your mind, you work with it.
You have to understand, be conscious and aware of your thoughts.
Do not run away from them, observe them, but be detached.
You cannot escape reality, nor can you pretend reality does not exist. It is there, in front of you, accept it, learn from it, grow from your discovery.
As you become aware and as you reason with yourself, you can better detach yourself.
With this, here are the following states of meditation
The first state of meditation, the state of awareness. - understand your mind, understand yourself. Keep reflecting until you desensitize yourself.
The next state of meditation, the state of detachment. - desensitize yourself, and see things as an observer rather than an involved player. You can then see cause and effect and understand your actions and the corresponding reactions to them accordingly.
The next state of mediation, the state of void - this is where you have been able to work with your mind and find your calm. This is where you now find your void.
The next state, transcendence - This is where you have become still, and in the stillness you can finally open your chakra and connect to the universe.
