SHIVLINGA
The Shivlinga means many things at many realms, each true for that level of subtlety. It is a symbolic representation of absolute transcendence, Omkaar, the impersonal God , and so it leads to a spiritual understanding of Him .
It therefore, means different things to different people. And the paramount understanding is this:
God in His pure form of nirakaar , Godhood in its absolute transcendene is unfathomable , unknowable,in that pristine realm of infinity. It however, becomes knowable when God creates a finite world and then pervades that world Himself..
Shivlinga means, there is no beginning and there is no end, to God, He crosses all boundaries of time and thought.
