Shiva is the greatest spiritual master of the entire world, free from enmity, a peaceful personality and always satisfied in Himself" ~ Shrimad Bhagvatam. Lord Shiva is glorified by hundreds of names. For fulfilment of material and spiritual desires, one may chant his any name. And you will be blessed. Amongst many names, One is Dhanadeepa, the one who is lord of wealth. He is in charge of material wealth as well as spiritual wealth and blesses His devotees or anyone who sings His divine glories. Material wealth includes all the economic assets, money and valuable jewellery required to lead a comfortable life. Spiritual wealth includes the divine knowledge a person attains reading holy scriptures under a bona fide Guru and self-realisation. Another name Shoolin means one who has a Trident. Trishool is Shiva’s divine weapon He uses to kill the maliciousness. The Holy Trident epitomises Creation, Maintenance and Annihilation. It represents past, present and future. In other words, Lord Shiva is the knower of past, present and future of all the jivas on this earth. Vachaspati means the power of speech. Lord Shiva’s divine words are pleasing not only to His devotees but also melt the heart of Ravana. His speech is absolutely flawless, spiritually rich. One may meditate on this name to attain the power of speech and communication! Love, Light & Blessings ~ Jai Shiva Shankar!

Walk one step towards me and I take ten towards you. When you start walking to my path I start running towards you. ~ submit to God. Resist the evil, Draw near to HIM and He will draw near to you.

Walk one step towards me and I take ten towards you. When you start walking to my path I start running towards you. ~ submit to God. Resist the evil, Draw near to HIM and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your mind and purify your hearts. Have complete faith in him, Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who draws near to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. Humble yourselves in the sight of the God, and He will lift you up!!

Everything you possess is temporary and useless.

A US tourist visited an Indian Yogi. He was astonished to see that the Yogi's home was a simple books filled room. The only furniture was a mat and a kerosene lamp.
Tourist :"Yogi ji, where's your furniture?" Yogi : "Where is yours?"
Tourist : "Mine? But I'm only a visitor here." Yogi : "So am I !!"
Yes, we are all visitors. And Material possessions, however alluring they may be, cannot be permanent possessions. One has to voluntarily give up such possessions, or one has to leave such possessions at the time of quitting this body. The wise knows that all material possessions are temporary and that the best use of such possessions is to engage them in the service of the Lord. Start today, give up everything. HE is our only caretaker, stop drowning in the pool of illusions, it's all Maya. Everything you possess is temporary and useless. Taking HIS shelter is the only remedy and goal for the soul. Only truth is Lord and his name. Nothing goes with you when you leave this world. The only wealth that you can take is your love & devotion to God. Gather the wealth of Lord’s name and be fortunate. Replace doubt with faith, Replace hate with love, Replace pride with humbleness, Replace pain with comfort of His love. No harm shall come to you. No obstacles stand in your way. Your broken heart will be mended with soothing love. Remember Him in meditation and obtain everlasting peace!

SHIVA YOGA

SHIVA YOGA
Saiva Yoga is revealed by Lord Shiva , who, perenially mindful of spirituality,is ever eager to share his penchant with devi, his beloved consort, and transfer illumination .His poetic agamas (replies) to the Devi in response to her nigamas(querries),are recorded in the tantras, puranas, samhitas and siva sutras for the benefit of sincere seekers. They are called the Shaivagamas.
Shiva’s yoga is the supreme spiritual essence that illuminates both the esoteric and exoteric aspects of life to their fullest. It encompasses both monism and pluralism, covers theism and deism, clarifies dualism and non duality; this is its beauty, Shiva is the fountainhead in whom all opposites are reconciled.
Concisely, Shiva’s philosophy is :
That in the beginning all is Shivashakti.
A primal urge, pratham spanda ,arises in Shiva to roll out a whole universe.
His Shakti enables him to do exactly that.We honour her as jag janani, mother nature.

With God’s grace, whatever you wish for will not be difficult to obtain”. This is a proven fact. Shiva is omnipresent, Shiva is within each one of us.

* Grishneshwar Jyotirling ‪#‎Maharashtra‬ ‪#‎India‬ *
With God’s grace, whatever you wish for will not be difficult to obtain”. This is a proven fact. Shiva is omnipresent, Shiva is within each one of us. He is eternal, he exists now, right this moment. We just need to have this faith and relax. There is no need to put any effort. Vivek, Vishwas and Vishraam - these three are important. Whenever there is chaos, start a kirtan, chanting of his name and the chaos will settle down. Chant the lords name , without doubt there's no other way. By chanting his name we are in immediate contact with god. He is with us. The name of the Lord need not be chanted with regard to place, time, circumstantial conditions. Just Chant ! In Kali-yuga the chanting of the holy names is certainly the most practical and effective process. This is explained in Srimad-Bhagavatam which states that those who are wise know the value of this age of Kali because, in spite of the fallen nature of this age, the spiritual perfection of life can be attained by chanting his name. No better position can be found to attain freedom from material existence and entrance into the spiritual kingdom than chanting his name!

All happiness that is dependent on others is bound to disappear sooner or later

* Nageshwar Jyotirling ‪#‎Gujarat‬ ‪#‎India‬ *
All happiness that is dependent on others is bound to disappear sooner or later. It is temporary, it is momentary, it is illusory. Only that joy is yours which wells up within your own being. Hence Buddha says: DELIGHT IN MEDITATION, delight IN SOLITUDE. Aloneness is the joy of being just yourself. It is being joyous with yourself, it is enjoying your own company. There are very few people who enjoy their own company. And it is a very strange world: nobody enjoys his company and everybody wants others to enjoy his company!

"Only due to karma does a living entity accept a lower or higher birth and die. Only due to karma a living entity becomes an enemy, a friend or indifferent to others. Therefore karma is foremost and the controller of a person" ~ Srimad Bhagwatam.

"Only due to karma does a living entity accept a lower or higher birth and die. Only due to karma a living entity becomes an enemy, a friend or indifferent to others. Therefore karma is foremost and the controller of a person" ~ Srimad Bhagwatam. When one moves from one rented house to another, they gather all their belongings and take them to their new house. While moving their valuables they pack even petty and unwanted things. Similarly when one changes one body to another it also takes its good and bad karma with them and causes them to act similarly in life. Depending on ones karma after death one receives a better or worse body. Without proper worship of the lord after death one may be awarded birds or animals body. Depending on previous karma we get our present life. Suffering and pleasures depend on our past karma. Whatever type of activities and attitude one harboured in our previous life, that kind of experience will they will have in this life. Which is why sometimes sinners are seen enjoying and pious are suffering. This is all due to their previously performed karma. Ones performed karma doesn't leave anyone or change in anyway. It follows them wherever they take birth unless they become sincere devotees. One can't have peace and happiness as long as they don't serve the lord. Therefore one must carefully perform actions to correct their karma!

Mistakes are learning opportunities. It takes failure after failure to create success. Never regret anything, because every little detail of your life is what made you who you are today. You may be hurt or broke.

Mistakes are learning opportunities. It takes failure after failure to create success. Never regret anything, because every little detail of your life is what made you who you are today. You may be hurt or broke. Take all the time you need to heal emotionally. Moving on doesn’t take a day. Never let a bad day make you feel like you have a bad life. Just because today is painful doesn’t mean tomorrow won’t be great. So try to smile in the mean time. Not because life has been easy, or exactly as you had anticipated, but because you choose to be happy and grateful for all the good things you do have. It’s better to have a life full of small failures that you learned from, rather than a lifetime filled with the regrets of never trying. Be Positive. If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change the way you think about it. Being hurt is something you can’t stop from happening, but being miserable is always your choice. Negative thinking creates negative results. Positive thinking creates positive results. Mistakes and setbacks are rarely as bad as they seem, and even when they are, they give us an opportunity to grow stronger. You should never let one dark cloud cover the entire sky. The sun is always shining on some part of your life. Sometimes you just have to forget how you feel, remember what you deserve, and keep pushing forward!! Lord Shiva looks straight to the heart.............

Aum Namah Shivaya!
Lord Shiva looks straight to the heart.
What one looks like, what colours one wears, this does not mean much to Him.
He 'sees' the basic svabhav ( propensity) of a person.
The loving and kind, he in turn loves,
the unkind he helps to find their Divinity, one way or the other.
Ultimately all is His. ultimately we are returned to Him..

While explaining the 9 main types of Devotion, Shiva tells Sati. "I love all these types of devotions, and apart from these I like It when devotee offers me ‪#‎Betel‬ leave.
What ever the Type of Devotion my devotees follow , importance is the Dedication on the Act. Any amount of knowledge without Dedication would be useless. Devotion Can change any one and help in getting Moksha(salvation). In all the 3 worlds, 4 Seasons Devotion is the best path to choose. Especially in Kali Yuga, Devotion will become vital role in happiness. Because all the knowledge in Kaliyuga would be already too old and people feel they are no more useful.
In fact my wealth, strength and everything are my devotees.I even Fired Yama Dharma Raja for Markandeya. In other words, I am Devotee to my devotees. ". And after hearing this Sati started worshiping Shiva with more Dedication!

Mahakaleshwar Bhasmarti Today Darshan

* Mahakaleshwar Bhasmarti Today Darshan *
Often your tasks will be many,
And more than you think you can do.
Often the road will be rugged
And the hills insurmountable, too.
But always remember,
The hills ahead
Are never as steep as they seem,
And with Faith in your heart
Start upward
And climb 'til you reach your dream.
For nothing in life that is worthy
Is ever too hard to achieve
If you have the courage to try it,
And you have the faith to believe.
For faith is a force that is greater
Than knowledge or power or skill,
And many defeats turn to triumph
If you trust in Lord ‪#‎Mahakaleshwar‬ wisdom and will.
For faith is a mover of mountains,
There's nothing that Lord Mahakaleshwar cannot do,
So, start out ‪#‎today‬ with ‪#‎faith‬ in your ‪#‎heart‬,
And climb 'til your ‪#‎dream‬ comes true!

Shiva

Dear Friends, Here is my pic taken near the Famous , and most beautiful Statue of Samundra Manthan at the Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok.
In my talk "Path of the Mystic" at the Festival of India In Thailand
i said" We are all mystics, we are all connected". What more beautiful illustration of this Cosmic Event , when all the Devatas and the asuras got together to Churn the Ocean. What better illustration of Oneness, when you have this epic scene all the way in Bangkok!
and now, the passage from my book The Yogi and the snake for this scene:
Shiva
“Now, it is my turn to ask”, smiled the Yogi. “Why did you choose me?”
“Although God is one, His attributes are different in His different manifestations. Your form held a particular appeal for me. I was awed both by your appearance and character. Here was a lord, with no kingdom, no material acquisitions, no riches, nothing, yet he was bestowing gifts upon others. Here was a God sitting serenely in meditation, a technical God? Someone who loved his wife and children, and was so much at ease with Nature. Someone who loved the forests and the hills, the rivers and the springs and all the beings, that lived in them. I loved the way you let your hair hang loose, and was intrigued at your informal attire. I was particularly taken in by your spirit of sacrifice. It is said, that once all the Gods and demons, realised that there was ambrosia in the Ocean. But they had to churn the Ocean for this ambrosia. Casting their differences aside, they made teams, and using a mountain for the churner, and Vasuki, the largest snake available, as a rope, they churned the Ocean. All was well, till they realised, that as a result of production of ambrosia, venom would also be produced, in sizeable quantity, by the vomiting of Vasuki, after such an ardous task. This too, had to be disposed by consuming, in accordance with the laws of Nature. No one dared to consume their little portions of the venom. Everyone was interested only in the ambrosia. You stepped forwards and consumed the whole of the venom, because it was of prime importance to you, that all must get ambrosia, even if it meant your death. Thereafter they realised, that you were ‘Mahadeva’ Lord amongst lords.”

Vibhuti, the Sacred Ash - Sadhguru (VIDEO)

Sadhguru explains that when prepared properly, the sacred ash Vibhuti has certain qualities that enable it to be a great medium for transmitting energy. It is also used as a constant reminder of one's own mortality. Ignoring mortality is to live in a fundamental state of ignorance - keeping a reminder is a means to go beyond the limitations of the physical.

His entire family of four brothers, Yudhishthir, Arjuna, Nakul and Shahdeva, along with their wife Draupadi and mother Kunti, used to observe the Ekadashi fast without fail. He was scared of dishonouring Lord Vishnu, for whom the fast is observed, hence, he approached sage Vyasa for a solution. Sage Vyasa advised Bhima to observe Nirjala Ekadashi, once a year, and this way he can attain the virtue of all 24 ekadashis. Things keep happening around you. People will take advantage of you. There are people who hurt you and break you...and never look back to see what became of you. Sometimes we expect more from others because we are willing to do much more for them. There are people who leave you or break relationships. Don't feel sad. It's their loss if they give up on you. Your value doesn't decrease if they are unable to see your worth. There will always be such people in life. Stop worrying about them, and move ahead with your head held up high. You can't revenge. Let God do the justice. It's the past and you can't change it. He was much married Himself and the name of His eternal beloved, Parvati, was always fused into His own, as were, reportedly, their hearts. So often was He referred to as ‘Shivparvati’, that this plural had become synonymous with togetherness.

Leave your Pride & Ego

* Leave your Pride & Ego *
As history stipulates, Emperor Dashagreev or DashaKanth( Popularly known as Lankadhipati Ravan) was a greatest devotee of Lord Shiva ever walked on the earth.
Emperor Ravan was a greatest Brahman(i.e Mahabrahman) who knew every aspect of ‪#‎Vedas‬ and ‪#‎Upanishads‬. He was a noble scholar, excellent poet, magnificent composer and musician. Ravan was the author of the greatest '‪#‎ShivaTandav‬ Stotra'.It is also known as 'Saama gaana'since Ravan chose 'Saam veda' to compose this wonderfull stotra. Ravan was also a maestro of veena (‪#‎musical‬ instrument) and had its symbol on his flag. Emperor Ravan was an excellent king, he conquered Lanka from ‪#‎Kubera‬. Under Ravana’s rule Lanka flourished into a great kingdom. Even his peasants had vessels in gold, to this extent Lanka had riches.Emperor Ravan literally became invincible. But with great power comes great ‪#‎pride‬. Even though Emperor Ravan was 'Rajarshi'and a greatest devotee of Lord Shiv, he couldn't conquer his pride.
The greatest emperor Ravan fell due to his ego & over-confidence that blinded his knowledge. This led him into actions that brought his downfall. The Sita apharan(kidnapping of Sita)inspite of his reasoning, caused the end of his existence.
Similarly,We all have demons inside us. At times they grow strong & we indulge into actions that could make us regret later. Let’s learn from the life of Emperor Ravan!

Trincomalee

The North-East Sri Lanka was under the rule of the Tamil tigers and because it was an active war zone, this area had been restricted area. Two years ago, the war ended and the Sri-Lankan government was successful in reclaiming this beautiful piece of land called Trincomalee.
Virtually untouched and in pristine condition, Trincomalee provides the perfect get-away for someone who wishes to relax on some of the best white sand beaches of the Indian ocean. Trincomalee also boasts of some exceptional, virtually untouched dive sites and is thus called the pearl in the Indian Ocean. The Pigeon island national park is at very close proximity from Trincomalee/Nilaveli and whether you are an experienced diver or a complete novice, this area gives you an opportunity to experience the beautiful world beneath the calm waves, in easy conditions.
Kandy was the capital of the last Sinhalese kingdom and fell to the British in 1816. After 6 years, the British managed to connect Kandy and Colombo with a road. Kandy is the cultural capital of Sri Lanka. It is home to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (said to contain Buddha’s tooth). This temple is the holiest spot for all Sinhalese people in the world. Additionally, Kandy has many ancient temples, pretty lakes, insightful museums, and some beautiful botanical gardens.
Nuwara Eliya is the highest town in Sri Lanka and it is a beautiful hill station. It gives you the perfect opportunity to get away from the fast track city life and enjoy nature at its best.

Why is the Vilva Leaf Dear to Shiva? (VIDEO)

Why is the vilva leaf so revered? By common knowledge, we know that the tree has been held sacred for many millennia and offerings made to Shiva are incomplete without vilva leaves. Why is the vilva held so sacred? Sadhguru answers.

What is the best way to stay healthy? (VIDEO)

Nandi, vahana of Shiva is placed directly opposite the entrance to the shrine containing the central image of Shiva, the shiva linga. In this position, Nandi is acting not only as Shiva's guardian, but also as a constant devotee. As Nandi mimics the position of every devotee who comes to stand before the deity, he is often revered as a model devotee. Nandi is described as a very staunch Shiva devotee who will never tolerate any unbecoming word about Lord Shiva. During Daksha Yagna , Daksha spoke rudely of Lord Shiva and Nandi closed his two ears, chanting "Siva , Siva". Its believed that whispering your prayers in the Nandi's ears will reach Shiva directly. As a faithful attendant Nandi informs his master of the same. Some people do close one ear and whisper into the other, as they don't want the wish to leave through the other ear. Seeing the Shiva Lingam in the sanctum from in between the ears of Nandi is also said to be a form of worship as it is believed that Shiva is looking at the world from between those ears and head. You have to ensure you do not stand in between Nandi and Shiva while praying. There is a procedure to pray to Nandi. first touching the feet, then whispering and then going to the back. As lord Shiva sits in mediation, Nandi makes sure that he is connected with the Lord. He sits as his guardian. It's difficult to bring Shiva out of mediation and he unaware continues his mediation. It's only Nandi who communicates messages to Shiva during his mediation so that he can come out of his mediation.

NANDI GAN

NANDI GAN
Nandi was His most faithful attendant. He had the body of a human but the head of a bull. To make matters more intricate, the human part was built like a bull; the finest and most steely physique, and the bull head could think in the wisest manner possible.
It was like magic. But then, that’s what the Denizens of the jungle were. Magical creatures.
And Nandi had been declared by Shiva as the chief Denizen, The Top Gana.
Nandi was His best friend, His loyal devotee, and also His vehicle for transport, all rolled in one. He was Shiva’s ride, so to speak, but even when they were not journeying, Nandi would seat himself at the outer gates of Shiva’s Chamber. He was the most formidable obstacle, though he thought of himself as a guard. He was never off duty. Once when Shiva joked with him about his snores that were louder than the roar of many creatures, Nandi had replied, “Even when I walk the streets of dream world, I proclaim Shiva as the Supreme Master of the Universe, and whose chosen Gana I am.”
“ You are one tough chap aren’t you?” smiled Shiva
“ Yes Master, I am a toughian” said Nandi, flexing his chest .
Shiva laughed at the Vocabulary of the beast, he thought it was most unbeastly and human. And he did not miss the fact that Nandi followed into an immediate expansion of whatever Shiva said for him.
