Trincomalee

The North-East Sri Lanka was under the rule of the Tamil tigers and because it was an active war zone, this area had been restricted area. Two years ago, the war ended and the Sri-Lankan government was successful in reclaiming this beautiful piece of land called Trincomalee.
Virtually untouched and in pristine condition, Trincomalee provides the perfect get-away for someone who wishes to relax on some of the best white sand beaches of the Indian ocean. Trincomalee also boasts of some exceptional, virtually untouched dive sites and is thus called the pearl in the Indian Ocean. The Pigeon island national park is at very close proximity from Trincomalee/Nilaveli and whether you are an experienced diver or a complete novice, this area gives you an opportunity to experience the beautiful world beneath the calm waves, in easy conditions.
Kandy was the capital of the last Sinhalese kingdom and fell to the British in 1816. After 6 years, the British managed to connect Kandy and Colombo with a road. Kandy is the cultural capital of Sri Lanka. It is home to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (said to contain Buddha’s tooth). This temple is the holiest spot for all Sinhalese people in the world. Additionally, Kandy has many ancient temples, pretty lakes, insightful museums, and some beautiful botanical gardens.
Nuwara Eliya is the highest town in Sri Lanka and it is a beautiful hill station. It gives you the perfect opportunity to get away from the fast track city life and enjoy nature at its best.
