Facing the Fears

Facing the Fears
Q: Guruji, can you please talk about our army or defence forces?
Guruji: Indian army has been one of the best armies of the world; very well managed. Their discipline, their commitment, their equality and justice is an example to follow. The army men have cultivated discipline so well! I wish that the youths of this country also imbibe the discipline of the men in the army. In their personalities, you can see there is integrity, commitment and dynamism. Fortunately the army training has instilled such qualities of endurance, dignity and commitment. They have strong commitment to work and discipline.
Many nations in the world have a compulsory military training for a year or two years for the youths and the male members of the society. India should also have some sort of such training for the youth. More numbers of youth should participate in such initiatives.
The Jawans (In India common name given to the youth in the army) and their families really deserve to be congratulated.

Facing the Fears
Know that you are not alone, and there is a universal power that loves you, and is with you. When you remember that you are being loved very dearly, fear vanishes. All your troubles begin because you don’t believe you are being loved very dearly. That is where the whole problem starts, and you start behaving in ways that pushes everybody away. You create a misery for yourself, because you doubt yourself; Am I good enough? Am I being loved? Does God love me or not? Do people love me or not? These sort of doubts.
Just take it for granted that you are loved and liked, even if you’re a buffoon. Even if you are a clown, you are loved and enjoyed. People like you however you are. Just move on, don’t sit and spend too much time worrying about yourself, examining yourself, and re-examining. Just take up a commitment and do what you need to do, and take deep rest with dispassion.

Q: Guruji, you once spoke about Indira Gandhi who was trying to bring together the Buddhist nations in India because India is the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Is it still possible today and who can do that?
Guruji: I think all the countries in the world should come together. That is what we are doing. We are bringing everyone together as a One World Family, which is why it is said, ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (everyone belongs to one Family and one God).
The air knows no boundaries, the sun knows no boundaries. In reality there is no boundary on Earth. They are all man-made divisions between different people. We should all dream of the whole world coming together in the spirit of spirituality as one Human-kind.
The United Nations organization was founded with this idea, but unfortunately due to the lack of the spiritual quotient there, it did not find success there.
