For devotees who throng the temple, it is a never-ending offering of wine and alcohol. It is believed that the deity consumes 100 bottles of liquor daily. And to utter astonishment of the viewer, the plate of liquor becomes empty. Only men please Kal Bhairav with unlimited alcohol. The stone idol remains steady despite drinking copious tipple. No one knows where the alcoholic river flows. Nevertheless, they all are sure that the deity drinks it up. The puja is done 8 times in a day and alcohol features in all of them and the mystery of how this idol is able to drink alcohol has always baffled devotees. The remaining liquor in the bottle is returned to the devotee as prasad. Liquor is available 365 days a year outside the temple. Black Dog at the gate of Bhairav Mandir Kal Bhairava's vehicle is a black dog, and therefore there is an idol of a Black Dog at the gate of the Bhairav Mandir. Black dogs specifically are supposed as the form of Bhairava. The devotion to Lord Bhairav can be shown by feeding and taking care of dogs every Saturday. All problems will be sorted by doing this simple act. Lord Bhairav is also called "kotwal" for guarding the Lord Shiva temple. The worship of Lord Bhairav will grant his follower triumph over rivals, worldly comforts and success.! Om Kal Bhairavaya Namo Namah ~ Om namah shivaya!
