Looking Through The Eyes Of Love
Looking Through The Eyes Of Love
Many think Buddhists only practise meditation and develop inner strength. He says, “Buddha Shakyamuni said that one has to practise practical mind of enlightenment, which is also a path of Bodhisattva. It means that we, as practising Buddhists, must also be involved in humanitarian activities, besides developing our wisdom and inner strength.”
Traditional wisdom says, teach a man how to fish and he won’t go hungry. I say, teach a man fishing and also how to sell fish to help him survive!” The Buddhist concept of dana or giving has motivated many to pledge their eyes. Sri Lanka is among the largest corneal donors in the world.
