News (11.10.2013) Uttarakhand: A gold crown of Shiva Linga at the Kedarnath temple, which went missing after the June calamity, has been recovered from a rest house near the Himalayan shrine, the temple committee said .

The crown worth lakhs of rupees and weighing 500-600 gms was recovered when the rest house staff was cleaning its premises, Badrinath-Kedarnath Mandir Samiti Chairman Ganesh Godiyal said. The crown used to adorn the Shiv Linga in the sanctum sanctorum of the ancient temple during 'arti' (prayers) every evening, he said.
