If you are looking at god as an external being who will come down and help people. Then you are missing the point.

Photo: If you are looking at god as an external being who will come down and help people. Then you are missing the point. And for someone to say that Shiva did nothing, remember. None of the gods of the religious faiths have done anything to feed the starving children.

Those who see Shiva within, should be empowered to do something, however small, in helping change our community.
Prayers are not enough, since prayers are intent. Actions change things.

All I am saying is, if we see Shiva as an external God residing in the heavens, watching over us, then we are missing the point. If he is everywhere, then he is within. It is all about realizing that God is within us and everyone, and because of this realization, we respond by helping others.

This concept, found mainly in realized souls, are found to be exceptionally compassionate not only to other humans, but to all living creatures as well.
