Happy Ramnavmi!

The relationship between Shree Ram and Shivji is well established.Perhaps the most famous incident is that of Ram worshipping Shiva just before he made the approach to Ravana at Lanka. It is quite apt, especially if we remember that it was Shiva's Bow that Ram broke at the Sita Svayambar. This is how Divine Karma is intricately interwoven into one another's life and story. It is interesting to note that even Ravana was the greatest of Shiv bhakts, having composed the famous Shiv Tandav Stotram in praise of His Lord.Though both Ram and Ravana were established as His Bhakts, Lord Shiva gave his blessings to the one on the side of the Dharma; thus too Ravana had to forfeit his life for having abducted another man's wife. The deeper meaning of the Shiva Ram Ravana interweave is simply this: All is From God, but even God prefers to set the course of Dharma in every story.

 Aum Namah Shivaye.
