When you leave the physical body and enter the astral realm, it no longer matters what you were in the eyes of the world – whether you were the president of the country or a poor beggar living under a bridge. All that matters is who you are at this moment in the eyes of your conscience and God. How do you achieve this kind of success? The secret is to understand who you are, and to know that you are not the doer. The ego doesn’t like this idea. It wants the credit, “I did this, I did that.” But the more you allow that thought to enter, the more, curiously enough, you suffer. The more you think about yourself, the less happy you are.
