Q: If appreciating a work of art or literature is emotional, i.e., it moves a person, then isn’t it more emotional than cerebral?

Guruji : Literature cannot be emotional only. If it is only mushy-mushy, then people will not like to read it. Reading is an intellectual job, it can’t be too dry, like reading a technical book, then it will be very boring. Literature should be a combination of a little bit of emotions and a little bit of intellectual sharpness; like modern poetry, which has an intellectual angle. It stimulates your intellect, and kindles and sparks the much needed emotion. I think all successful literature has both these aspects.

You need to match your desires to your abilities. Somewhere you need to let go, and somewhere you need to hold on. Hold on to faith, and let go of cravings. If you let go of cravings, you will be happy.

Q: It seems like a challenge to get this knowledge to the people in our area. Is it our mind that is causing the hindrance or is it that the time has not come for them to receive the knowledge?

Guruji : No, just don’t recognize it as difficult or challenging. Just keep doing it and it will happen.

Guruji : These are tears of love. When you see me you cry out of love.
