Shiva is not only a Great Yogi , but also the highest bhokta ( experient).
An interesting pic of Lord Shiva from the Net. He is in Dhyana, meditating as usual. But what caught my eye in this particular picture was His hands. The hands of Shivji , which are normally rolled into the yogic chin mudra, are wide open, as if to Receive something from the Universe. What could it be, one wonders?
Maybe just love .Maybe this intense picture is when Sati Passed away and Parvati had not yet arrived.
Or then, perhaps, he is feeling His own creation till the point of its air and ether?
The central import is that Shiva honours His own creation, he honours the fact that receives from it also!
Shaivites often think of Shiva as God who creates the whole play of life, but, like a director who makes a play, he is free to take a role as an actor inside this play also... And when Shiva enters his own creation, He is full of gratitude for everything that creation offers.
This, is the great mysticism and gratitude of Shiva.
The Kashmir Shaiv Darsana : Kashmir Shaivism teaches that Shiva is not only a Great Yogi , but also the highest bhokta ( experient).
Aum Namah Shivaye.
