We all have normal life issues, as well as personal life problems that often bring up fear. What we used to call worry, and have updated to anxiety, is a continuous stream of negativity that keeps interrupting your mode of thought and that you find it hard to get away from. Worry drains and wastes your energy and makes you less likely to make good decisions. Centuries ago humans had to run way from danger, had to fled the situation when something was out of control. But you don't need this mechanism now. You are strong, discover thyself. You can overcome any challenge, you have that power within. If there is no enemy within, no enemy outside can hurt you. It starts on the inside. You control your thoughts. The only person who can hurt your happiness in the long run is YOU. All the frustration and the anger we hold are manifesting themselves as the enemies within. When we are calm and content, we don't consider anyone our enemy. And nothing bothers us. None can hurt us. You can be your worst enemy and loose friends, ruin your reputation, miss opportunities. Your own mind and your own fears make things seem worse than actually they are. It's self created miseries, self created fears that are preventing you from conquering the challenges. Master the thoughts and emotions, they are your biggest enemies. "Man hi karta, Man hi bhogta". Once you are able to conquer the mind, no outer challenge can hinder your growth. It only takes one person to make you happy and change your life, that's YOU. Your life will improve only when you take small chances, and the first and most difficult chance you can take is to be honest with yourself. Stop focusing on how stressed you are and remember how blessed you are. It could be so much worse. It is not what happens to you, but how you respond to what happens to you. Count your blessings while others are adding up their troubles. Look for something positive about this moment. Even if you have to look a little harder than usual, it still exists. When you smile about the life you live, you end up living a life worth smiling about. Remember, any kind of comparison is the thief of happiness. You could spend a lifetime worrying about what others have, what others are doing, but it wouldn’t get you anything. Happiness comes more easily when you feel good about yourself without feeling the need for anyone else’s approval!! Love, Light & Peace ~ Boom Shankar!
