It is believed by Many Hindus that Lakshmi, the elephant at Virupaksha Temple Hampi is the living incarnation of Lord Ganesha. After her daily morning bath in Tungabhadra river , she showers the blessings on the pilgrims coming to pay their respects. Put a coin into the snout of her trunk and after she hands it to her master, she gives you a tap on your head. She blesses everyone and it's believed that she is Avatar of Lord Ganesha. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป  Ganesha, in a human form but with the head of an elephant, represents the power of the Supreme Being that removes obstacles and ensures success in human endeavors. All Hindu religious scriptures recommend the worshipping of Ganesha before the beginning of any religious, spiritual or worldly activity.
"Pranamya shirasaa devam gaurii putram vinaayakam
Bhaktaa vaasam smarenha nityam aayuh kaama artha siddhaye"
This stotra is from Narada Purana, and is recited to remove all troubles and get liberation. The meaning of this religious hymn is that one should bow one's head and offer obeisance before the son of Gauri, Vinayaka (Lord Ganesha), whose abode is the devotees, and remember Him always for the purpose of obtaining longevity, desired powers and prosperity! Jai Shri Ganesha ~ Jai Shiva Shankar! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป
Om Namah Shivaya ~ Namaste Beautiful People ~ Divine love & blessings to all! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป
