Worshipping lord Ayyappa is a tantric remedy on Saturdays for curbing Shanishwara or Saturn's effects. Particularly those with Shanishwara effects
- Sade Sati (Saturn transiting 12th, 1st and 2nd house from moon sign)
- Ashtama Shani (Saturn in 8th house from moon sign)
- Ardhashtami Shani (Saturn in 4th house from moon sign)
- Shani Dasha or Shani Bhukti
Suppose if you find an Ayyappa Temple or Ayyappa pooja bhajans,
- perform 18 steps pooja or simply called as Padipoojai and pooarchanai (naamavali with flowers) from the guru/tantri/priest.
- If you can spend little more money and time, perform Kalasha poojai, please note this will happen at early morning 1st poojai only in the Ayyappa temple.
- Pay money to perform Panchagavvyam poojai at will.
- Perform Madhurabishekam or honey bath to the lord, for arogyabhaagyam and kutumbakshemam
- Perform Kalabhabhishekam or Sandalwoodpaste bath to the lord, for curbing trouble from law and enemies.
- Atleast feed 3 or 5 people with full meals, prior you have your mid day lunch.
Natives can recite the following mantra on Saturdays at Shani hora to reduce Saturn effect, light til oil in front of Lord Ayyappa’s photo or Ayyappa temple.
