VETTAKORUMAKAN TEMPLE, KALYASERY - OUR ORIGINAL PAYYAN TEMPLE

This second Vettakorumakan Temple is our original Payyan Temple. It is believed that our original Payyan ancestors settled in Kalyasery. Then, our direct descendants moved to Aroli. That is why the Aroli Temple is also Lord Vettakorumakan Temple. 

Adjoining the original Payyan Temple is a Devi Temple. This Devi Temple is not a Payyan Temple but was built by another clan. 

The original Payyan Temple is situated on a piece of land of more than 20 acres. Inside the Temple, there is Lord Ganapathi. There is a kollam in the Temple land. 

There is also a Nagamma shrine within the Temple grounds.
