In Hinduism, there is only ONE GOD.

Yes, there is only one god in Hinduism, known as brahman or Satchidanand. Millions of others are deities who are manifestation of this one supreme god.

Sanskrit: "Ekam evadvitiyam"

Translation: "He is One only without a second."

[Chandogya Upanishad 6:2:1

Dieties are like millions of officers serving under one supreme leader(God), just like we have many ministers like railway ministers, finance ministers etc working for prime minister

God isn't one person or at one place. He exists everywhere, in living beings and in non living beings, in trees, in river, in animals and even in stones, in moon, in sun, and planets. There isn't a thing where he doesn't prevail.

So, unlike other religions which strictly says to worship their only one god, hindus have the freedom to worship any god in any form as they find convenient.

People saying ‘33 crores’ gods is absolutely nonsense. Many western authors have mistranslating the word Koti as Crore, instead of Type.

33 koti are the 33 types of deities (12 Adityas, 11 Rudras, 8 vasus, 2 Ashvins). Again these are deities, not the supreme god.

All this is explained nicely in below video
