FEARLESSLY START YOUR JOURNEY
It is the timeless promise of Shiva, that if we try to find our own Divinity, or connect with Him, we will find it.
We all have a secret love for God in our heart, but strangely, sometimes we do not come out with it, and more ironically, we do not make a lifetime effort to locate Him.
Luckily there are always great lovers of God like Markandey, Prahlada, Valmiki and so on, who leave a trail of flowers about their spiritual journey, so that we too may begin our own.
Begin! This is the important thing.
Mostly we do not begin, we do not take that first step for our destination, sometimes wrongly fearing that it is too long a journey...but the truth is that Shiva raises His right hand as 'Abhay mudra' be not afraid to seek me, be fearless in your pursuit. Specifically, in Kashmir, the great rishi Vasugupta worshiped Shiva to get his great Gyan, the Siva Sutras, and then passed it on for all of mankind as their heritage.
Just as we honour our Bhagvad Gita, and remember Krishna's message for life, so also, each one of us has a right to know these sutras and upayas to 'meet' the Shiva within.
