SEEKING SHIVA
One thing that stands out clearly in the descriptions of Shiva is that there is much paradox about Him. The moment anyone thinks they understand one aspect of Him, immediately another one comes before us in a contrast.
Shiva has always been the greatest enigma in the pantheon of the Hindu Gods. Time and again He has appeared on the scene and time and again, He has vanished. No one knows where He comes from.
He has been here before us all and so, no one knows where He comes from, or when He was born. No one was ever sure of His antiquity, or His antecedents; none knew who His parents were, or if He was actually a sibling to the Vedic Gods. Some say He was Brahma’s son, others assert He is Swayambhu, the Self-created, who, after manifesting Himself, in fact, created Brahma also.
Even after hearing about Him endlessly, one comes back to the same mystery.
Are you also one who loves Shiva and goes on from lifetime to lifetime in this Divine hide and seek with Him?
