Kashmir Shaivism teaches that God creates the world out of His own Self. This world serves as a mirror to Him, and essentially helps Him to measure Himself.
But this does not mean that the characters in this world have no role play, each one is as important for the measurement of His vastness and diversity. So we are all part of the highest ' Self-reflection '
