There have been a lot of recent reports of people pretending to represent God. You will find they have the same common traits

1. They claim to be able to forgive your sins on behalf of God
2. They have a uniform, and it looks stupid
3. They claim to be able to pray for you
4. They claim the money you give them goes to God
5. They claim god listens to them when they pray
6. They claim to have a direct lineage, or belong to a group that has a direct lineage to god

Here are things to avoid when you meet such people

1. Do not let them talk. They have a tendency to talk for hours and put people to sleep
2. Do not donate money to them. This is how they recruit people to donate more money
3. Do not confess to them.
4. Do not partake in the ceremony, it will make you look stupid as well.

They might even have a huge facility with a picture of a popular God behind them. This does not mean they are the sole authority to communicate with God. Remember, God is within you, you don't need others to do the talking for you. If you want to talk to God, close your eyes and just speak.
