LORD SHIVA TWO-DAY EXHIBITION "SIVA ROOP" AT SWARAJ VITHIKA, RAVINDRA BHAVAN, BHOPAL

Culture Minister inaugurates ‘Shiv-roop’ exhibition

Rare portraits and pictures of Lord Shiva could be seen in the two-day exhibition ‘Shiva Roop’ at Swaraj Vithika (Swaraj Art Gallery), Ravindra Bhavan premises, Bhopal. The exhibition was inaugurated by Cultural Minister of Madhya Pradesh Laxmikant Sharma as part of Bhojpur Festival to observe Maha Shivratri on Sunday and would be on till March 12.
Well renowned singer of Bollywood Kailash Kher was also present at the gallery. He took a walk-through of the gallery and keenly observed all the photographs and portraits been put up there. It is a collection around 60 pictures of the temples including the portraits of the Lord Shiva.
While talking to The Pioneer, in-charge of the exhibition Sunil Mishra said, “We have organised this exhibition in Bhopal as the part of the Bhojpur festival and the same exhibition is organised at Bhojpur Shiva Temple.” He further added that these pictures are some of the rare collections and people rarely know about these temples and have hardly seen these portraits.
Photographs of the temples like Omkareshwar and Mahakaleshwar temples from Madhya Pradesh, Baidyanath and Deoghar temples from Jharkhand, temples of Kashi Vishwanath and Varanasi from Uttar Pradesh, Kedarnath from Uttaranchal, Somnath and Nageshwar from Gujarat and many more.
The portraits of Lord Shiva and Parvati along with little Ganesha could also be seen at the gallery. One could find the ambiance of spirituality and love for Lord Shiva could also be noticed at the gallery. The spectators were awestruck to watch the rare pictures of temples, lingam and portraits of Lord Shiva there.
The visitors were awestruck while having a look at the pictures. The pictures actually become lively at the first glance. It was like a feast for the Lord Shiva worshipers as they could see very rare pictures of Mahadev.
