Your Love Will Save The Earth

Photo: पिप्लाद महर्षि दधिचि के पुत्र का नाम था पिप्लाद। चूंकि वह सिर्फ पीपल का फल ही खाया करते थे , इसलिए उन्हें पिप्लाद के नाम से पुकारा जाता था। दरअसल , अपने पिता की तरह पिप्लाद भी बहुत तेजवान और तपस्वी था। जब पिप्लाद को यह पता चला कि देवताओं को अस्थि-दान देने के कारण उनके पिता की मृत्यु हो गई , तो उन्हें बहुत दुख हुआ। आगबबूला होकर उन्होंने देवताओं से बदला लेने का निश्चय किया। यही सोचकर वह शंकर भगवान को खुश करने के लिए उनकी तपस्या करने लगा। उनकी तपस्या से अंतत: शंकर भगवान खुश हुए और पिप्लाद से वरदान मांगने को कहा। पिप्लाद ने भगवान से प्रार्थना की , ' हे आशुतोष! मुझे ऐसी शक्ति दो , जिससे मैं देवताओं से अपने पिता की मृत्यु का बदला ले सकूं। ' भगवान शंकर तथास्तु कहकर अंर्तध्यान हो गए। उनके अंर्तध्यान होने के तुरंत बाद वहां एक काली कलूटीलाल-लाल आंखों वाली राक्षसी प्रकट हुई। उसने पिप्लाद से पूछा , ' स्वामी आज्ञा दीजिए , मुझे क्या करना है। ' पिप्लाद ने गुस्से में कहा , ' सभी देवताओं को मार डालो। ' आदेश मिलते ही राक्षसी पिप्लाद की तरफ झपट पड़ी। पिप्लाद अचंभित हो चीख पड़ा , ' यह क्या कर रही हो ?' इस पर राक्षसी ने कहा , ' स्वामी अभी-अभी आपने ही तो मुझे आदेश दिया है कि सभी देवताओं को मार डालो। मुझे तो सृष्टि के हर कण में किसी-न-किसी का वास नजर आता है। सच तो यह है कि आपके शरीर के हर अंग में भी कई देवता दिख रहे हैं मुझे। और इसीलिए मैंने सोचा कि क्यों न शुरुआत आपसे ही करूं। ' पिप्लाद भयभीत हो उठे! उन्होंने फिर से शंकर भगवान की तपस्या की। भगवान फिर प्रकट हुए। पिप्लाद के भय को समझकर उन्होंने पिप्लाद को समझाया , ' वत्स। गुस्से में आकर लिया गया हर निर्णय भविष्य में गलत ही साबित होता है। पिता की मृत्यु का बदला लेने की धुन में तुम यह भी भूल गए कि दुनिया के कण-कण में भगवान का वास है। तुम उस दानी के पुत्र हो , जिस के आगे देवता भी भीख मांगने को मजबूर हो गए थे। इतने बड़े दानी के पुत्र होकर भी तुम भिक्षुकों पर क्रोध करते हो ?' यह सुनते ही पिप्लाद का क्रोध शांत हो गया और उन्होंने भगवान से क्षमा मांगी। इस तरह एक बार फिर देवत्व की रक्षा हुई। Om Namah Shivay. ***Write " Om Namah Shivay " if you ask for God's blessing on your life today. Education will not save us — but education of a certain kind might just save the world. Therefore, the goal of education is not mastery of subject matter, but of oneself.

Do Not Dominate Nature

Lesson Number One is: Do not dominate nature. We should try to build an example of a sustainable economy powered by renewable energy in the heart of our country, and move an entire city to becoming ‘carbon positive.

Learn Mindfulness And Compassion

We should endeavor to change minds. We should borrows from the philosophy of the river of life; we have responsibility towards our ancestors from the past and our future generations to come.
