Lord Shiva is known for not wearing a crown. but Bhaktas sometimes decorate him in this manner. The only time he wore some Gold adornments in addition to His snake and moon, was when he went to get married to beloved Parvati. Looking also at Nandi's decking up with Ornaments, perhaps this is supposed to be a picture of that timeline! Aum Namah Shivaya!!
