Siddheshwar Temple, with a 108 feet tall statue of Lord Shiv, this pilgrim centre also has replicas of the 12 Jyotirling to offer one platform for Shiv devotees - Siddheshwar Dhaam, Sikkim. Sikkim has created a history by bringing the four Dhaam under one roof at Solophok, Namchi, South Sikkim. The four most revered Dhaam of the Hindu's - Jagannaath Puree (Orissa), Dwaarakaa Puree (Gujarat), Raameshawaram (Tamilnaadu), Badreenaath (Garhvaal) have been replicated in this fantastic complex to benefit the devotees who will visit this place. Siddheshwar Dhaam was consecrated by Shri Jagadguru Shankaraachaarya Swami Swarupananda Saraswati on November 8, 2011 and is now open to public. It is believed that Lord Shiva, after losing Sati in Agni Kund, had gone into seclusion and became a hunter in the forests of Sikkim. The giant statue of Lord Shiv in sitting posture has been erected at the highest point of the hilltop. It's also believed that during the war fought between Kaurav and Paandav when Arjun was worshiping in this particular place, Shiva revealed himself to him and blessed him. It is believed that a visit to the place is enough to wash away one's sins.
Har Har Mahadev!!
