THE HOLY, HAPPY FAMILY!

Photo: THE HOLY, HAPPY FAMILY! We often find in paintings about the Shiv Parivar, that either they have only Kartikeya ji, or then Ganesh ji. This happens mostly because of a "North-South" concept. In North Indian pictures Ganeshji is present whilst in the South Kartikeyaji is prominent. Also, there are different versions of who is older among the two chilsren.Here too, the Shiva Purana records Kartikey'as birth as earlier than that of Ganesh's creation.
