THE HOLY FAMILY
A beautiful picture of the Shiv Parivar. We sometimes get pics of Him and Parvati Ma with Ganeshji, and at other times with Kartikeyaji. One sibling is missing.This , to my mind, is mostly due to regional faith: Those in the North know Ganesh more and in the south they know Kartikeya or Murugan Swami as he is called ,more. Although this is not the rule: of course a south Indian worshipper may have infinite love for Ganeshji and the north Indian may love Kartikeyaji's stories. The point is that we must know Shiv in His totality.Not being limited to Region only, Shiva is Universal! We may find His footprints the world over! Lately after some new serials , there is also asking about His daughter, Ashok Sundari.While i personally had not known her from the Shiv purana stories, however i do understand one thing: Shiva is the Father of all! and to include girls in His family, is probably a great social evolute, why not? smile emoticon
But we must also always remember Shiva is Father to all in any case, especially prone to the respect of girls, since He is the ardent devotee of Durga, and all our girls are a manifestation of Goddess! And to uphold the Dignity of our little Godesses , Shivji can do anything! Aum Shiv Shakti Namah.
