If you can't accept Shiva in his entirety, you're not a Shaivite.

To be honest, a lot of our bhaktis here will only want to see pictures of the Shiva they want to see. They don't want to see everything, and refuse to accept the other aspects of Shiva.
If you can't accept Shiva in his entirety, you're not a Shaivite.
You haven't taken the right steps towards enlightenment, and you refuse to accept a larger, LARGER area of Shiva which is knowledge. Shiva is a world beyond ours.
But what is stopping us from gaining insight on the higher plane, other than ourselves?
Many of you get offended seeing Shiva and Parvati naked, or having intercourse, or with skulls and ashes around. But, for those who are dedicated to knowing more about Shiva and Parvati, these are part and parcel of the knowledge. AND this knowledge too is important.
With Shiva, NOTHING IS TABOO!
Ghosts, sex, death are realities we should accept. ONLY THEN we can understand their importance and the beauty of their philosophy within.
Shiva is the universe, and the knowledge of the universe is Shiva.
If you want to be a Shaivite, ACCEPT SHIVA AND SHAIVISM FOR WHAT IT IS COMPLETELY. If you prefer to close your eyes on specific areas and topics in Shaivism, that's ok, but then you're not a Shaivite. You're not a complete bhakti. You're just another person who likes specific parts of Shaivism, but cannot appreciate its entirety.
AND, this page is about Shaivism.
Om Namah Shiva
