A portrayal of Lord Shiva and Parvati both paying respect to their own symbol, the Shivlinga is rather enigmatic but it means simply this:
That they are their own first votaries, they uphold the Universe with the principles of creation that they manifest. If they set rules, they abide by them

This is the sign of complete realisation, to salute the God principle, knowing that they have come from it, and in a time before world time, it, has come from them.
