Eschewing flesh a devotee attains God Hari after due prayer." ~ Garuda Purana.
"If one kills animals otherwise (and eats their flesh) he will fall into hell and remain there for as many days as there are hairs on that animal. Eschewing flesh a devotee attains God Hari after due prayer." ~ Garuda Purana.
The Garuda Purana is one of the Vishnu Puranas. It is essentially a dialogue between Lord Vishnu and Garuda, the king of birds. #TheShivaTribe .The Garuda Purana deals life after death, funeral rites and the metaphysics of reincarnation. There are all the deadly punishments mentioned in Garuda Purana called "The Torments of Yama. There are different types of hell mentioned in Garuda Purana where one is sent according to the sin he commits in his lifetime. When the yamaduta drags the soul and his impure body out of the temporary gross body, on to the road to hell, the suffering already begins depending on the degree of committed sins. Kumbhipakam (cooked by oil) is the hell for those who kill animals for pleasure. Here oil is kept boiled in huge vessels and sinners are plunged in this vessels. Think before committing bad deeds. Every sin will be punished and every good deed will be rewarded! Peace ~ Hari Om Tat Sat Namah Shivaya!
