Lakshmi does not reside in that house where conch shells are not blown, where there are no Tulsi trees, where there is no worship of Shiva, and Shakti, and where the Brahmans are not fed.

"Lakshmi does not reside in that house where conch shells are not blown, where there are no Tulsi trees, where there is no worship of Shiva, and Shakti, and where the Brahmans are not fed. O Brahman! O Devas! Where I and My Bhaktas are blamed, Maha Lakshmi becomes greatly displeased. She instantly goes away out of that house. Lakshmi does not stay even for a moment in that house where the stupid person, without any devotion for me, takes his food on the Harivasara Ekadashi day (the eleventh day of the moon’s wane or increase) or on My anniversary birthday. If anybody sells My name or his own daughter, where the guests are not served, Lakshmi quits that house instantly and goes away." ~ Bhagwat Purana
Maa Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth, prosperity (both material and spiritual), light, wisdom, fortune, fertility, generosity and courage; and the embodiment of beauty, grace and charm. Maa Lakshmi also known as Mahalakshmi is said to bring good luck. She protects her devotees from all kinds of misery and money-related sorrows. Lakshmi in Sanskrit is derived from its elemental form laks, meaning “to perceive or observe” .This is synonymous with laksya, meaning “aim” or “objective”. The Vedas call Mahalakshmi as Lakshyayidhi Lakshmihi which means she is the one who has the object and aim of uplifting mankind. Maa Mahalakshmi is called as Shri or Thirumagal, because she is endowed with six auspicious and divine qualities or Gunas and also because she is the source of strength even to Lord Vishnu. 🌷🍃🐚🌷
