The holy procession will be starting from Valiyakoyikkal Dharmasastha Kshethram at Pandalam on 12th Jan 17 and will reach Sabarimala Sannidanam on the Makaravilakku Day, 14th of Jan- this year. ”Thiruvabharanam” is the sacred divine gold ornaments of Lord Ayyappa. On the Makarasangrama day, Lord Ayyappa s idol in Sannidhanam is adorned with these sacred ornaments. These sacred ornaments were offered to Ayyappa by the Pandalam King. ON 12th JAN 4 am in the morning the holy boxes are taken from Srampickal Royal Palace and moved to adjoining Valiyakoickal Sastha Temple for viewing and worship. Lakhs of devotees for darshan of the ornaments and rendering offerings, as this is considered to be highly auspicious. The jewels are kept there till 12:30 pm.
The procession leaves Valiyakoickal Sastha Temple premises at around 1 pm in afternoon to reach Ayroor Puthiyakavu Devi temple in evening of the same day via Kaippuzha, Kulanada, Ullannoor, Parayankara, Kuriyanipallay, Kooduvettickal, Kavumpady, Kidangannur and Aranmula and Ayroor.

The procession leaves Valiyakoickal Sastha Temple premises at around 1 pm in afternoon to reach Ayroor Puthiyakavu Devi temple in evening of the same day via Kaippuzha, Kulanada, Ullannoor, Parayankara, Kuriyanipallay, Kooduvettickal, Kavumpady, Kidangannur and Aranmula and Ayroor.

Next morning on 13 th Jan, the procession will resume its journey from Ayroor to reach Laha on evening travelling via Peroorchal, Keekozhoor, Aayickal, Pulickamoozhy, Kuthukallinpady, Mandiram, Edakkulam, Vadaserikkara, Madamon, Perinad and Puthukkada.
Next day 14th Jan 17, the procession will resume its journey from Laha to reach its final destination i.e., Sabarimala Sannidhanam by evening via Plappally, Elavumkal, Nilackal, Attathode, Kollamoozhy, Vellachimala, Aettappetty, Oliyampuzha, Valiayanavattom and halt for few hours.Then in the late evening the yathra continue and deep via Cheriyanavattom, Neelimala, Appachimedu and Saramkuthi.
The procession will be accompanied by hundreds of devotees and armed policemen. The procession will be warmly welcomed at Saramgothi by TDB officials and seva sangha representatives.

1.Thiruvabharana Petti, 2.Velli Petti and 3. Kodi Petti re the three boxes will be taken in the Yathra.
