Shivaratri marks the remembrance of overcoming darkness and ignorance in life and the world. It's observed by Remembering Shiva, worshipping him wholeheartedly and chanting his mantras and prayers. You can also indulge in Bhakti yoga and meditate on ethics and virtues such as self restraint, honesty, non injury to others, forgiveness and discovery of Shiva. Keep vigil whole night and Chant his names, including Shiva Ashtottara Shatanamavali.!
