Makaravilakku is on January 14

While the Sabarimala and its premises are readying for Makaravilakku, Tantri of Sabarimala temple Kandararu Mahesh Mohanaru has said that the auspicious Makaravilakku will be held on January 14. This is one of the important rituals of the Sabarimala temple and lakhs of devotees flow into the holy hillocks exclusively to watch the Makaravilakku. Rituals and poojas associated with the festival will be held on 12 and 13 said the Tantri. He added that the Makara Sankramam muhurtham will be at 1.47 in the afternoon.
