Enlightenment is seen as the ultimate liberation, it is the freedom from suffering that so many people desire. In Sanskrit, the word for liberation is moksha, and the purpose of most Indian traditions is to attain moksha, to reach a state in which we are absolutely free from the world of form, but also free to explore it and enjoy it, without our ignorance of our true nature causing us to cling to reality and suffer. • The way to Enlightenment is not through rejecting form, but realizing that you are both the form and the formless. Your Energy aspect, by itself, has no Consciousness. So it cannot realize itself, or anything, without the help of your Consciousness. Only Consciousness can realize itself, which is why the search for Enlightenment is focused primarily on Consciousness. Though once Enlightenment is reached, there is only nondual Being, which includes both Energy and Consciousness, though they are no longer experienced as opposites, but are realized as one." ~ (from the book ; Answer is You!)
