FOREVER
The first time Shiva went into a cosmic trance, He was thrilled and He realised that’s where His story began: in a cosmic trance.
The first time He held Parvati's hand in His own in holy matrimony, He went into untold bliss, and realised this is actually where His story begins and ends, in unison with Parvati.
That it was the first time He went into trance, was a
self -contradicting phenomenon. The trance itself showed Him that there had been more. That it was the first time He was united with His Shakti, was the Maya, the great illusion, the whole magic of the eternal couple:
And this was indeed a pragmatic magic, for being timelessly in love was the only way to know eternity, as Parvati Herself told Shiva before they created the whole Universe.
