WHEN THERE IS ATI- EXCESS EVIL, GOD APPEARS.
Paradoxical as it may seem at first glance, sometimes it is not the bhaktas, but the people who do not believe there is a God of any sort, a God who can hold them accountable for their acts of unkindness, these may well be the very people who will make Him manifest. When they carry on their acts without check, and with a confident impunity , This is Ati- excess. Amazingly it also serves as an invocation to God , by anarchy :
If we burn a house which does not seem to have an owner, the real owner will turn up and save it from burning.
When evil persists, Shiva appears to put an end to it, just like the firefighter dowses the leaping flames of fire with water.
