Shiva, the God of all Gods, Mahadev sits atop the mighty Kailash Mountain and resides in the hearts of millions of devotees. His magnificence is too great to be described in a few words. Lord Shiva, the Great God, is considered to be the Supreme Being and grants Moksha to those who ingrain divinity in their hearts and adhere to firm righteousness in their lives. The giver of great boons to his determined devotees and is the very embodiment of kindness and love. The Sanskrit word "Siva" means auspicious, gracious, kind, benevolent, friendly". The roots of Siva is "si" which means "in whom all things lie, pervasiveness" and va which means "embodiment of grace". The term Shiva also connotes "liberation, final emancipation" and "the auspicious one". Shiva in the Epics and the Puranas, is an auspicious god who is the "creator, reproducer and dissolver".
Shiva also means the one who can kills the forces of darkness. Shri Vishnu sahasranama interprets Shiva to have multiple meanings: "The Pure One", and "the One who is not affected by three Guṇas of Prakṛiti(Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas).
Upanishads declare Lord Shiva that he is the supreme Brahman and the only giver of moksha. In Maitreya Upanishad, Lord Shiva says: “I am the supreme, greater than the great. I am quiescence, the greatest being (Purushottama)”
"All those devas who are all under stupor by the illusion of Maheswara would not understand properly that Mahadeva who is the teacher of the universe, is the cause of all causes. His shape does not appear before the eye. This world is shining because of that Parathpara Purusha in whom the world exists. ~ Pancha Brahma Upanishad'
One should chant the Panchakshara Mantra which is from Na to Ya (Namasivaya) and which is of the shape of five letters and is Lord Shiva’s body. After understanding the philosophy of the soul of Pancha Brahma, One should understand that every form is the form of those five. One who studies this knowledge of the soul of the Pancha Brahma would shine himself as Pancha Brahma. This Upanishad tells that Lord Shiva, who grants salvation to one, from this day- to-day life of the world, exists as witness without differentiation in the heart of all beings and is called Hrudayam (That which exists within).! 👁🌀📿🌙🕉🐍💀🔱⌛️🐚🔔🎨
