A LEADER IS MEANT TO UPHOLD ETHICS AND VALUES

A LEADER IS MEANT TO UPHOLD ETHICS AND VALUES :

The business community plays a pivotal part in any society for it creates livelihoods through employment opportunity and trade. It enhances government funding for development by paying their taxes. Through Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, businesses add value to society. Therefore, a top global business leader is a global role model. When such a leader succumbs to unethical business practices, and that too when he enjoys considerable wealth, he is sending out wrong signals to the whole world…Hence, despite his past good deeds, it becomes necessary to mete out fair punishment in the light of the ripple effect his actions could have throughout global society. There is no question of leniency because the gravity of the offence is greater than any single act of indiscretion.

It has been detailed in Sanatan Kriya that such incidents would not be uncommon in the final phase of Kaliyuga, when corruption will spread to all spheres of life and no one will criticise it…it will be considered “normal”. And therein lies the danger. We cannot ignore the fact that a leader is meant to uphold ethics and values that constitute the very basis of an egalitarian society.

Om Namah Shivay.
