Parvati with both her children. sometimes in Shiv parivar pictures we notice only Ganeshji, at other times only kartikeyaji, this has mostly to do with a regional knowledge of the deities. But those who know God in a more holistic manner, those who know Shiva better, say that Shivji is pleased only when both His children are equally loved and respected.and Parvati is the highest knower of this truth of Shiva's heart!
