Do Shaivites bow to Shakti?
yes, of course they do!
funnily i have in my journey and readings come across some meaningless arguments about how Shiva is superior to Shakti, and also vice versa opinions.
This is perhaps even more childish than the Shiva vs Vishnu discussions.
The truth , as any Shaivite knows, is that Shiva Himself is the greatest admirer of His own Wife Durga,
just as she is his greatest devotee.
Neither of them is complete without the other!
So too, the so called 'citings' in sacred texts, whenever they present a differing point,are actually just to highlight the Transcendent (shiva) or manifest (shakti) play of God.
It is the hallmark of a shaivite to honour all women as Shakti.
This Navratri, let us bow to the great love that they have for each other, and try to emulate that in our own lives. Aum namah Shivaye, Jai Jagdambe !
