A Student Should Make His Own Independent Choices After His Education

A Student Should Make His Own Independent Choices After His Education :

In what is considered to be the closing verse of Lord Krishna's Gita discourse to Arjuna on the battlefield of Kuruskshetra – Lord Krishna says:

इति ते ज्ञानमाख्यातं गुह्याद्गुह्यतरं मया।
विमृश्यैतदशेषेण यथेच्छसि तथा कुरु॥ [- भगवद्गीता १८.६३]
iti te jñānamākhyātaṁ guhyādguhyataraṁ mayā,
vimṛśyaitadaśeṣeṇa yathecchasi tathā kuru [- Bhagavad-gītā 18.63]

Thus, the 'wisdom' which is the greatest of all secrets, has been declared to you by Me; having reflected upon it fully, you now act as you choose.

The Guru has never indoctrinated the student in the Indian tradition. He invites the student to make his own independent decision after having taught him all that needs to be taught. There is also an inherent faith that the teacher places in the student for appropriately utilising the teachings and shows a deep faith in the student.

Om Namah Shivay.
