Japa for Peace of Mind

Photo: Japa for Peace of Mind

From Japa to Moksha

Japa is the repetition of a word or a short sentence during meditation. The letter ja stands for that which puts an end to the cycle of birth and death, and the letter pa stands for that which removes all impurities and obstructions.

Japa, therefore, is an indirect means for moksha or liberation. By destroying all kinds of obstructions to knowledge, japa paves the way for liberation.

Om Namah Shivay.
