The ultimate devotee of Lord Rama, Hanuman is considered to be the God of power, wisdom and knowledge. According to a Hindu mythology, in order to kill the demons and remove all the wrong happening in the world, Lord Shiva had taken the avatar of Hanuman.
Lord Hanuman is believed to be the ultimate avatar of Lord Shiva. In this avatar, Lord Shiva had taken birth as a monkey.
Although, Lord Hanuman was very powerful since his childhood, but once an incident took place in his life that him extremely powerful. Because of this power only, he played a major role in ending the Raavan family in Lanka.
According to Shiva Mahapuran, while distributing the amrit among the Gods and Demons, seeing the Mohini roop of Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva got attracted and ejaculated. The Saptrishis collected it in some leafs.
At the appropriate time, the saptrishis put it into Vanarraj Kesari’s wife Anjani’s stomach through her ears. Because of this Lord Hanuman was born.
Acording to Valmiki Ramayan, when Lord Hanuman ran to grab the Sun thinking it to be a big mango, Lord Indra out of fear attacked. Angry with this, Pawan Dev stopped the entire flow of air from earth. That time Lord Brahma touched Hanuman and woke him up. That time, every god present their blessed Hanuman because of which he became so powerful.
Surya dev gave Hanuman his 100th part of hallow and blessed him with the knowledge of shastras.
Dharamraj Yam blessed him to be free of illness forever. Kuber blessed him to never get defeated by anyone in any battle.
Lord Shiva blessed him that no one would ever be able to kill him even if the weapons are of the god himself.
Indra Dev blessed Hanuman to be immortal.
Lord Varun blessed him to live for lakhs of years and still not die.
Lord Brahma blessed him to take anybody’s disguise easily. He would be able to go anywhere he wants and that his speed will be slow and fast depending on what he wants.
Lord Hanuman later became the minister of Sugreev. It was Hanuman who introduced friendship between Lord Rama and Sugreev when Rama was finding his wife Sita.
When Hanuman reached Lanka looking for Mata Sita, Raavan misunderstood him to be Sita.He only realized later as Hanuman was wearing a lot of ornaments, which Sita wouldn’t wear.
After finding Sita for a long time, when Hanuman couldn’t find her, he got worried and thought her to be dead. But then he remembered Lord Rama and searched her again and finally found her.
While destructing the Ashoka Vatika, he killed many demons.
